The Bagua is a map or a grid of nine sections that reflect the nine areas of a home. The wealth section is always on the far left hand corner as you enter the home from the main enterance or the most used enterance.
(It is preferable to use the front door as the main enterance)


Disorder and clutter causes chaos! Clutter blocks the way for energy to flow freely. This can hold you back and stifle your confidence. The biggest Feng Shui cure is to clear the clutter. All those chores our parents had us do - keeping bedrooms tidy, throwing out rubbish and keeping the dirt and dust away had a greater purpose after all although we didnt know it at the time. So remove that clutter. Get rid of that feeling of being 'stuck'.

Unsure where to start? Take it in small steps. Start at the front entrance and work your way to the wealth corner over a day, week or month. Throw out, give away or sell everything that you no longer use or like. Fix broken items that you wish to keep. Clean as you go.

Once you have de-cluttered the entrance to the wealth corner, make it a target to continue with the remainder of the house and your office or work space over the following months. Use the Bagua layout in every room for added impact. You can apply the Bagua to your desk as well.

Create a calming space in your wealth section. Use soft lighting plus candles, and enhance the atmosphere by burning oils or incense.

Is this area of the bagua is missing in your home? Then plant a money tree here instead. Another alternative is to place some lovely garden lights and pebbles in this space. You may wish to add a bronze statue or two outdoor chairs. Turn this area into a space that is pleasing to the eye.

If the toilet is in the prosperity segment of your home, always keep the lid down to avoid money being 'flushed' down the toilet. This is an important Feng Shui prosperity cure. Add something of beauty to lift the vibrations and yellows and bright greens can be used here to pick up the energy.

For bathrooms which are situated in the prosperity segment, turn the atmosphere here into one of calm and relaxation - similar to a day spa. Add candles, shells and pebbles, a statue or frangipani flowers. Use colour to create a uniform effect and place bottles away in draws and cupboards. Relax in the luxurious atmosphere created in the bathroom.

Should the laundry be situated here, tidy the space, place bottles in cupboards, make sure the paint is fresh and that the plumbing works properly. No mold allowed. Use purples, yellows or greens, when applying Feng Shui to the laundry. Add an indoor plant if there is space. A round leaf plant or a lucky bamboo plant will look great.
